    <dcterms:title><![CDATA[Siam: Kenneth Went to See the Buddhist Monks]]></dcterms:title>
    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[On an evangelistic tour Kenneth called on the head of the monks and offered to teach them about Christianity. They set up a time when the monks would come to the Landons&#039; house. They had many of these sessions, and at the end Kenneth rewarded them with portions of Scripture. The speaker of the group told Kenneth that they had all decided to become Christians, to which Kenneth inquired if they meant to stop being Buddhists. They responded that they were going to be both Christians and Buddhists. In any case, this started a long time friendship between Kenneth and the monks, especially with the head monk. ]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Kenneth wrote a letter to his mother who had sent him a songbook. He owned several musical instruments. He was in Sengora where he expected to stay for a month or so. It was a very disorderly city. The Chinese were astonished at Kenneth&#039;s language ability. He held communion in Chinese. He had a very good experience with a Lord Lieutenant to whom Kenneth presented the Christian hope. A missionary in Bangkok had criticized Kenneth&#039;s method of using governmental channels for his evangelistic endeavors, but the Lord Lieutenant approved of it and said it made better citizens.  ]]></dcterms:description>
