Kenneth tells how one day he was coming back home from church when he noticed Peggy laying in front of the house, with a king cobra rearing up, getting ready to strike. Kenneth let out a war whoop and started swinging a cane and yelling at the cobra. The snake took off fast like an express train. Margaret explains how deadly a king cobra's bite is and tells a story about a missionary saving a woman's life from a king cobra. Kenneth recalls war stories associated with the area and tells of his visit to one particular island. It was eerie. He tells of his long visit inside the cave, how he got stuck at a dead end on his way out, and spared himself another twelve hours of walking by taking a huge risk of jumping down to where he needed to go. He took many pictures of the cave, especially the cathedral inside. He tells of the US soldiers hiding in this cave during WWII and being perfectly safe from the Japanese. Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
