(William Joseph), 1883-1959 Mekong River Description An account of the resource Donovan, realizing that this was his last significant position in government, wanted to be remembered and make a difference. Jokingly, Kenneth suggested redirecting the Mekong River, as this could drastically impact southeast Asia. Donovan took to the idea, developing an elaborate plan and sending ideas back as "for the presidents eyes only", ensuring that they would be seen by all of the important people around the president as well, as they would need to be up to date on what the president might have questions about in order to advise him. Over a course of 13 years Kip Landon (Kenneth Landon Jr.) began recording stories from his parents, Margaret and Kenneth Landon, resulting in 95 hours of recordings. Beginning on July 20, 1976, recording finished in June, 1978. The project resumed again in 1982 for a few months. After a long break, the third recording period began in 1988 and concluded in March 1989.
